IDK, I've seen ~feminist~ people argue pretty vehemently that all Dany's girl on girl scenes have been either purely fanservice or because she didn't have anyone else to do it with. It seems like lesbian Margaery is the "accepted" queer interpretation in a lot of circles, which might have to do with the popularity of Sansa/Margaery or just because people like the idea of gay Tyrells.

Well the Danny girl on girl scenes are... weirdly written.

It kinda reminds me of the way that Cersi's girl on girl scene was written.

Like it's all kinda weirdly clinical and detached.

But then all of GRRM's sex scene and hilariously bad so idk if it means anything in particular.

Yeah, they really are quite detached and fanservice-y and I could understand... where people get that idea from I guess? But it still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth when people raise their hackles about people wanting to believe a character is queer, IDK. Especially since the Dany and Cersei scenes are the only queer sex scenes written into the books, IIRC.

Also, OT but I see you in a lot of F!S threads but only just now realized you're the same fauxkaren as on tumblr, I'm a moron. I don't think we ever followed each other but you were one of the ASOIAF fandom people I was vaguely aware of from seeing your url on my dash. It's a small world.

I don't think I've managed to read one of his sex scenes so far with a straight face, or without questioning something about it.

Cersei's sex scene was... I don't know, it felt more like she was trying to reclaim her power status in another way more than she was actually enjoying it... Dany I'm not sure of only because they didn't explore it in a way that felt consensual (I though they main reason she shut Irri down in the future, was the power imbalance she didn't want to mess with).

But I usually skim the hell out of his sex scenes anyway.
