See, my thing is I wouldn't really *want* to make someone's day because they ignored me.

Unless they have made clear some reason as to why they might be deliberately ignoring you, it's not always the best idea to assume that they are. Unless you are actively trying to get their attention, people aren't going to drop what they're doing and focus on you.
