Try exploring Shintoism.

Shinto is not really very Lifestreamy, though, I don't think. It's an animistic pagan religion where there are spirits in the natural world, yeah, but the core concept of Lifestream is that the world has a life force that we are all a part of, and when we die our "spirit energy" returns to that force and can divide, come together, and take on new forms... It's certainly animistic, though doesn't really include any sort of gods and strikes me as more New Age philosophy. I don't think Shinto even presupposes reincarnation of any sort, with the exception of those who can become kami. At the very least, Lifestream has a basis of reincarnation (though not clean rebirth, since your energy doesn't stay in one form when you die) rather than afterlife in any heaven/hell sense. I've heard some Hindu/Buddhist ideas are similar, but they still have a religious goal to break free of the cycle of reincarnation that seems against FFVII's "religion". However, I'm not a scholar with Shinto so maybe I'm wrong, my understanding comes purely from my experience living in Japan and visiting shrines, not studying it in depth, so I could be wrong!

I'd be interested to see what religions do have similar ideas though.

Loosely speaking, the concept of Brahman in Hinduism is sort of similar to the Lifestream.
