Why "can't you like" it? Is it the sexual exploitation aspect, similar to drawing them nude, or is it that you're insulted on the character's behalf because you don't think women can be attractive that way?

I don't think people can be attractive that way.
Just like I don't think anorexics are attractive. It's funny how people on the internet always assume just because you don't find morbidly obese people hot you're a fat shamer (see SJW anon above).

It may not be to your tastes (and that's fine), but obviously it IS attractive to somebody, so I don't see why you should find it offensive to the character for them to be drawn that way by people who DO find it attractive, since it's not an insult.

How would you react if someone drew her anorexic? Would you tell the critics to lay off because "obviously anorexia is attractive to some people"?

Okay, so how does the correlation you clearly made one comment ago between this and shaming of real-life fat people come into it?

My point wasn't actually to make a correlation between this and the shaming of real-life women, specifically -- though I will point out that the anon who replied to me here ( http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/822680.html?thread=662001048#cmt662001048 ) didn't make a distinction between badly-drawn fat women with unrealistic proportions and fat women in general, and I doubt that many other people would, either, so poor art style is hardly the real issue here.

My point was, if someone draws a character in a way that they consider attractive, why would you get offended on that character's behalf at seeing them drawn in a way that you don't find attractive? Though, to bring in the fat-shaming, I assume that the same person wouldn't get offended at seeing fanart of the character that was simply poorly rendered; it was a poorly rendered attempt to draw the character fat that airt (who I'm not sure was you or not, at this point) said they "can't like."

I find obese people completely unappealing and that is within my right as long as i don't demand they loose weight for me. Why is that such a big problem? If someone can say they don't like brown hair or really thin people sexually i can say that i don't like obesity. There's absolutely no reason for anyone to flip their shit about that as long as they stay polite.

But i guess to people like you we're only allowed to think everone's is beatiful and not have any personel preferences, right?

Other thing i noticed that you instantly blew up and made this a tantrum about how him (it was anon and you simply assumed it was some man) trying to dictate how women should look. The secret was about a women and the comment was about the women from the secret. Nobody said they only think this about women, in fact most people i know who don't find obese people attractive think this about both men and women, so next time before flippig out, ask and calm down, this isn't a screaming match, it's a discussion.

If that's what they're referring to, I don't get the complaint. Those pictures ARE considered hot by the people drawing and consuming them. And moreover, I doubt any of the people drawing them think that's what the character actually looks like in canon.

This, pretty much. It's a kink for a reason--because people think it's hot. Judging from the pictures I found no one drawing weight gain art of her means to put down the character.

OP might've also been bemoaning that people who share their tastes aren't finding her hot enough to draw, but at this point I'm amused they're stuck with the kink.
