Yeah, it sucks, but take it from a Christmas baby; make your own damn party. Besides, you're a grown-up. Kids' birthdays are a big deal because they haven't had that many yet. Either you've 'had your turn' and it's time to gracefully pass the birthday candle torch on, or you make the birthday bash you want on your own if nobody else will do it for you.

And get a moonbounce. I got a moonbounce for my birthday finally when I was fifteen and everyone loved it even though we were all supposed to be too old for it. And by everyone I mean my friends and parents' friends as well (my birthday landed on Thanksgiving that year).

I don't know about that. My nephew got a bounce house. All of us 30-something aunts and uncles eagerly bounced inside. We discovered that we are not as malleable as we used to be. Bounce, sproing, arrgh, my knee! Maybe it's because we were stupid and were trying to do the showy acrobatic stuff. Watch me not quite flip over! LOL!
