I hate inflation and feeding fanart. I hate how it distorts the character until it's just a ball of flesh with a little head and tiny hands and feet sticking out. I hate how it's all about the aspect that the victim of feeding can't get away anymore because they are too massive to walk.

Even if it's just a cartoon character, I feel strangely appalled by such art.

It was obvious that some people would get angry at your secret, OP.
But I think I can relate.
There's a difference between drawing a character overweight and drawing a character like a human mountain with rotting food stuck in the multiple fat folds.

If the art is about feeding then you bet it's about a tormentor and a victim. It's like this "rape equals love" shit.

Because there's no such thing as consent, apparently. Trivializing actual rape by comparing it to a behavior that you wouldn't consent to (and therefore no one ever could) is kind of unpleasant.

Ehh, I'm no connoisseur of the kink or anything, but on the handful of occasions where I've stumbled across that kind of art the character being fed seemed to be depicted as a willing and eager participant.

I agree with this. I know it's just a fetish, but it squicks me so much. Especially when I see characters I really like drawn that way. I just wish I could un-see it.

I was so, so very confused and back-button'ed like I was on fire when I kept finding inflation fanart in deviantART of a Evil Future Danny from Danny Phantom villain (the kind of character that kills people for fun and is fairly powerful). Also for Shego from Kim Possible. (A "gives no fucks" kind of villainess.)

I didn't know what inflation and vore were back then, so I was all "why are their stomaches like that. why are people drawing them having eaten people. why are they showing me the people they ate whole and alive inside their stomachs. WHAT IS GOING ON"

As an inflation fetishist... yeah, I agree. Fic is the only thing that does it for me. It just looks so awkward visually.

I like weight gain / feeding and fic has always been the bigger appeal (and I've written some. I'm starting to find more art that is appealing, but I can't get into the "extremes" anyway: I find it weird when people tend to try making characters even fatter by having them somehow become taller too, rather than treating it how a person would actually look at that weight in real life.
