Oh wow I bet you were pretty excited as I imagine that's not something you'd get a lot in shows. Were you secretly disappointed they didn't have to cut off his arm?

Not even secretly disappointed, pretty much blatantly disappointed heh. I do get that it's inconvenient for a main character to lose a limb special effects wise, but damn, I wish it was more common.

I watched the first season, though Merle, I must admit, is not really my type and it happens mostly offscreen.

I will pick up season 2 when I can. And I do have a thing for eyepatches, actually.
