3. I loved Wash, too, but I always love the ineffectual-seeming (but actually badass) comic relief -- that's why I like Sokka in Avatar. Anyway. :-( I can't watch Firefly without getting kind of upset about what happened to Wash, especially when it comes to those scenes when him and Zoe are talking about kids...

18. Man, I don't remember this at all. I will say that I think if Robin McKinley needed to write a lesbian, she would have; the woman seems to not give a good goddamn what anybody else thinks, so I doubt it was an issue of chickening out. (Anyway, The Blue Sword was better; so was Beauty.)
