ONLY IF YOU LOVE ME <33 And you made me lol.

Yeah, I started watching it and it was pretty cool, with the Cloud crawling over and the rain and such, and then they started chatting like they were at the fucking roller rink and I was like no :(

DONE DEAL ♥

rofl, the roller rink. There were some things I liked, some things I didn't, and upon further and further speculation ... most things I didn't. It was such a suckerpunch to the gut in the original game, which they managed even with the clunky old graphics and whathaveyou. How about that.

And what was with that cheesy ZACK GETS LIFTED UP INTO THE SKY part. Ew. 8|

Didn't you know nobody rots in FFVII? When Bugenhagen explained people returned to the planet and they showed the lame little dude dissolving into Lifestream they totally meant it literally :)

It's the prettification that gets me, man. VII was a brutal game with brutal deaths and it's like Nomura's all OH BUT THAT WILL UPSET THE FANGIRLS WHO ARE NOW MY PRIMARY FANBASE nowadays.

IT MUST BE SO HARD TO PROVE MURDER CASES, NO BODIES EVER STICK AROUND

It's alright though, because Gackt fixes everything. I can accept any amount of bullshit as long as there are pretty distractions.

It's so true. There was just something so grimy and sleazy about the original game. The slums actually felt nasty and dirty and it made for amazing contrast with the outer world and places that were supposed to feel nice. I'll miss that a lot.

I had to stop watching at that point. It was excruciating.

I mean, I was all ready to cry with Zack hugging Cloud's head, with the way he was shaking and Cloud was shaking and he just screamed I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE and it was so wonderful and Cloud was covered in blood. I liked that.

What I didn't like was the talking.

What I liked even less was the really dead montage.

By the bit where Zack got astral plane'd I was finally crying, but not for the right reasons.

Can I friend you?

(This is a stupid question but did you used to run a Cloud shrine? Because if so and I haven't crossed you with someone else in my head you were the first person in fandom I ever fangirled like burning.)

Yes, yes yes.

The head-chest moment made me tear up a little bit, and just by virtue of seeing beloved characters bloody and dying all remade, it did shock me a little bit on the first watch. The chat they had bothers me the more I think about it, and anything after Cloud's scream kind of makes me want to hurl.

Certainly! Added. ♥

I did own that Cloud shrine Omnislash for a number of years, if that's the one you mean. :D Are you the one who wrote Cloud/Barret fic that was fucking awesome and I kind of wanted to have your babies for writing Cloud/Barret fic that was fucking awesome? I think you might be, ooh. *_*

Oh my god. When I was twelve, I'd go to Omnislash daily, because it opened my eyes to how characters should be loved and made me start caring about Cloud and made me who I am now. Thank you.

I have written Cloud/Barret, but I don't think it was awesome. I'll have to write an awesome one.

That is -- a huge compliment! You have made me blush. I do have a lot of sentimental love for that site and I'm proud for how long I stuck out with it, so thanks a lot for letting me know. Makes me happy that I didn't let it die early on.

What, what, what are you saying!? Those [livejournal.com profile] 1sentence pieces made me happier than a pig in shit. Please do acknowledge the awesome. (Although I will do nothing to dissuade you from writing more.)
