But it's like a car wreck -- I can't help watching it and looking at the pictures over and over and over again, because even though he died he died defending what he cared about, and THAT just means so much to me, that he poured his all into getting them back.

AMEN. Just, amen. The fact that Zack dies smiling is what honestly got to me. It's just so tragic that such a strong and likeable character has such a harsh end... We all knew it was coming, we all braced ourselves for it but S-ENIX hits below the belt and that scene... It still makes me cry, just thinking about it. I don't think I've ever been so deeply touched by anything in fandom ever.

Duehard Zack fans ftw.
