I am still pissed how they wasted Ben and Locke's story lines. If they had no idea what to do with the mysteries all they needed to do was scour the internet for inspiration. There were a ton of theories to inspire. They could have grabbed any of them and tweaked it into something original. But no, they went with the, "Screw it. Mysteries don't matter. The love stories do...I think." route. Blah. Such bad writing.

There will never be a time that I accept the last season as something they planned to do. Even really horrible answers to the mysteries would have been better then killing everyone off and ignoring the questions all together.

I did enjoy aspects of the finale (Jack's finale scene was beautifully done) but it was seriously such a cop out it's not even funny.

I'm still a little ticked that they waited until the last couple of episodes before telling us the deal with the MiB and Jacob. And they still didn't explain it very well.

And that thing in the cave that glowed? Such an asspull.

Yeah, still bummed that a story that captivated my imagination for such a long time decided to end on such a dumb note. I'd still recommend seasons 1-5 as a fantastic mystery/adventure show, however.

I don't have much sympathy for Lost fans who complain about the ending. Did you guys honestly think it'd be good? Really? After seeing ONE episode of that series and what a hot mess all the storylines were, I knew there wouldn't be a snowball's chance in hell that it'd be resolved well. Too much shit going on, too many elements thrown in purely for the WTF appeal, and not enough thought about where it's all going.

A lot of us were actually aware of all that, but we still weren't expecting it to be quite that bad. I remember a month or two before, reading some article and thinking maybe they were headed that way, then saying, nah, that's just too hackneyed and stupid. Then it happened, lol. I still think it was supposed to be purgatory from the beginning, because Lindelof in particular is so far up his own ass that he'd think that was totally original and mindblowing, but it was literally the first theory people came up with. Anyone else would have let it go and tried to come up with something better, but here we are.

+1 I watched with a big bowl of popcorn, ready for the trainwreck. And oh, did it ever deliver.

Also, can I just say how freakin' glad I am to see a complaint about disgruntled Lost fans that doesn't end with something like "because the ending was good and what you wanted is stupid"? It's annoying when people fanrage forever, but uh, that shit was not good on any level.

For most series I've watched I write off either the series finale or the last season because how many shows actually get proper send offs? I was hoping more for Lost since it was pre-planned (the amount of seasons) and it wouldn't abruptly get canned or stay on forever till it got repetitive and/or obnoxious (I'm looking at you House).
