Pretty sure the sex in this show is to titillate the fanboys.

Well. Yes. But is it not fairly obvious that the Castithan use/view sex as a tool to manipulate others? Stahma's conversation with Kenya in Monday's ep (episode 8), pretty much clinched that, IMO; Stahma is looking to throw a wrench in Datak's plans, and like Nolan told her, "I've been watching the wrong snake."

OK so maybe Stahma is all about using sex to control/manipulate others. But that's a comment on the role of women in Casti society, NOT a comment on orientation, etc. Or maybe a comment on Stahma's role in Castithan society, IDK.

Plus, Kenya's getting paid (see episode 8), so it might not necessarily be about orientation with her, either. Also it seems to me Stahma is totally grooming Kenya for something (the whole bit about "using your hatred in the right way" etc.) but what, remains to be seen. Likely to double-cross/mess with Nolan, because of his remark about keeping his eye on her.

....I really don't understand why Tumblr is so totally and completely in love with Stahma Tarr. The girl is as stone cold as they come.

If you read the wiki page, the Casti are totally a kind of 'sleep with whomever, you humans and your hangups' kind of people, which is very cool.

Yeah, honestly, Stahma worries me. I'm fairly certain she's going to end up as the main antagonist, if there is one - tying in with what the ex-mayor is doing, possibly. Datak has all the power up front (but only because he married her), but she is definitely pulling the strings.

And it sucks because I really like Kenya :-\
