You mean friendship? Well, first they talk, then they become friends, then it stops there with everyone happy to be friends.

You can argue the terminology if you want, but even I know some people wind up absolutely miserable trying to just be friends with someone they're in love with. Sometimes the only solution is to not be around them anymore. That's really not something I see dealt with a lot, though--shows like to end with the other person returning the first person's affections, even if the other person had previously shown no inclination to be anything other than a friend.

Edit: Though on the subject of this particular movie, I won't be watching it and don't care what it does.

Not really arguing the terminology, just stating that OP's basically asking for a no romance friendship route/story (in troll terms I guess)? Not sure where you're going with the paragraph there.

There's really no need for OP to be so dramatic about something not having romance ending. For a kid's show I'd hope things wouldn't go further than a light crush that fades anyway.
