you know what, despite everyone declaring this a troll secret and waiting patiently for some kind of drama to start in the comments (I doubt it will there really don't seem to be any rabid bronies on this site apart from a few painfully obvious anon trolls, and I'm hoping no one is stupid enough to whine when anybody mentions the word friendzone); I am going to answer this post seriously.

I actually agree to an extent, I think it would be very good for the movie to display a positive male/female relationship that doesn't immediately jump to romance and given the theme of the original series I really hope there's a chance for this. It would honestly give me a lot more hope for the quality of the movie itself; even though I probably still won't watch it like 70% of the appeal of the original show for me is the industrial revolution fantasy stuff so this thing pretty much kills most of what I like about the show. Still, if they do pull it off it would be nice to see a school setting tween shot that doesn't automatically default all male/female interactions to romance fodder.
