Fucking thing ruined other fic for me for the better portion of a month. It's goddamn brilliant. After you're done whinging about how much your own writing sucks, read On the Steadfast Approach of an Oncoming Darkness (http://archiveofourown.org/works/567464), because this one does Apocalypse fic better than most professional writers.
If you're into the Avengers, read The Evaluation Process (http://archiveofourown.org/works/447243) if you're into robots learning what cupcakes taste like and if you want to bawl your eyes out. After that read At Rest (http://archiveofourown.org/works/419963), which made me too embarrassed to post my own Lady Loki stuff and wonder quietly to myself what Hiddles would look like in drag.
For Supernatural fans, read Light Up The Sky More For Me (http://starandrea.dreamwidth.org/673194.html?#cutid1), since it's 50,000 words of awesome that's better than most books and will make you weep since you're so fucking inadequate. Then when you're all curled up in a ball too depressed to leave the house, read I am a man of constant sorrow (http://hannibalkink.dreamwidth.org/1375.html?thread=215135#cmt215135), which is an unfinished hannibalkink prompt that is probably better than 90% of what's on your harddrive and will probably never be finished. Ever.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-15 04:17 am (UTC)(link)You should play both games before reading it to fully appreciate and enjoy it, but on the other hand, the writing is so well done it can be understood with very basic knowledge of canon (to be honest, when people recced it to me, I hadn't played either of the Portal games, and I still was able to understand most of it)
