Aww, a Pimpernel secret made me all nostalgic for the long ago time I was in that fandom! Just had a cringeworthy glance at the fic I wrote back then, just in case there was some adventurous epic gen in there, but it was all terrible romance and bizarre crack and I'm unbelievably happy none of it appears to be online anymore. And I thought my old Les Mis fic was embarrassing.

So with you now though, OP. If I were to look for SP fic these days, I'd want a good gen adventure over anything else. I'm sorry no one's writing what you're looking for! Seriously thanks for the secret though, I'm about to pop in the '82 movie for the first time in years.

No, seriously, the fandom is SO small. I LOVE the 82 movie (it's my favorite version of them all; the 1999 miniseries is NOT TO BE NAMED); that little flower even inspired my tattoo.

Yeah, I can't seem to find ANY gen!adventure stories!

'99 miniseries noooooooo. It came out when I was just really getting into everything Pimpernel, so I remember being so excited for it, and then so disappointed when it was not at all what I'd hoped it would be.

And I love that it's inspired your tattoo. Actually, your secret and then watching the movie again last night inspired me to finally figure out what I want for the tattoo I'll be getting soon - that little flower. I've been debating a few things, but unable to come to a decision, but when I thought of that it was just like, "Of course, why didn't I think of it sooner!" Getting into it got me through a super miserable time in my life. And even though I drifted out of the fandom years ago, I still have a habit of imagining myself as Sir Percy to get myself through situations I don't want to be in. So seems pretty appropriate for a tattoo. So, again, thanks for the secret! It inspired a wave of nostalgia and decision making for me!
