I don't think that's a bad thing. I know that when I was really lonely my first year of college I spent a lot of time watching JPop stuff because it made me feel better.

Maybe check out and make some online friends via fandom? I know a lot of Youtubers have a lot of fans. I don't know how old you are or your situation, but if you're able to drive at all you could see if there are fandom meetups at least relatively close to you, even if it's not something you could do every day.

Wouldn't online friends work even better? Then you actually interact with them, even though no one in your area shares your interests! I live in a rural area too.

Whatever helps, OP. A big part of the reason I binge on as much media as I do is to stop myself from feeling lonely, too. For me it's not totally healthy, but I think as long as you're realistic about what you're doing, it can really be helpful--and fun!

I feel kinda the same way now that I'm in a more (how do I put this?) internet-humor removed setting. I miss being around IRL people who make jokes and references and who confront new and different things with "that's weird, tell me more".

Seeing as how at least two of those people have done "Draw My Life" it makes sense that you'd think of them as friends. You know what they've been through (especially Shane, oh man...)

You might like Kingsley and TwoBestFriendsPlay a lot, too.

I'm so lonely irl. I live in a very rural area and it seems like no one I interact with is interested in the same stuff I'm interested in.
So I pretend all these people are my friends.
I'm not delusional, I know that's not true but it makes me feel better anyway.
Sometimes I'll go a whole day without smiling until I watch one of their videos.
