Yup. DiCaprio's was passable, but it's hardly worth getting all "One True Version" over. Especially since it's a play, and plays are, by definition, always going to have different renditions and versions.

i think OP specifically means "Romeo + Juliet" as opposed to "Romeo and Juliet". wasn't aware of a remake though...

The phrasing "new" versions suggests a recent remake, not one that was made decades before the D/D version (which IMO was awful). I'm unaware of any "new" one either.

I like the DiCaprio and Danes version, but the Zeffirelli version will always be my favorite.

i agree with this thread, but dicaprio's is my favorite eclectic pop culture rendition of the play, somewhat because of the nostalgia

but it's definitely not the best
