I want a separate Black Widow movie (Hawkeye COULD be in it, maybe), and a Hawkeye movie based off the comics and prominently featuring Kate Bishop.

It won't happen but I can dream.

I have two different mental Hawkeyes, one from the movieverse and one from the recent comics - I don't know much about earlier Hawkeye (although I've seen a few things about Mockingbird and she seems kind of cool). I'd love a movie that was based off the comics with Kate - but to me they're really different characters. Movieverse Hawkeye is a little grimmer, less puppyish? Something like that. I don't know if my Renner!Hawkeye matches my Comics!Hawkeye at all.

Hah. I'm in the same boat. I love Hawkguy and all his battered and bad-decision-making-lone-wolf-with-a-team-sometimes glory. And I love Agent Barton, the calmly confident government assassin/secret agent, who is, it must be admitted, primarily a work of fandom, but he's still pretty consistent there and I like him fine.
