Isn't Jeremy Renner out of the MCU now? I'm kinda sad because I liked him as Hawkeye, but I can't see them recasting him just to make a BW/Hawkeye movie, especially now that BW has another love interest in the pipelines. At least one more, I mean.

Jeremy Renner is not a Scientologist, actually. He was at one point working on a movie with Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour Hoffman about a belief system "closely resembling" Scientology. While the movie stalled for undisclosed reasons, given that it wasn't supposed to be very complimentary towards the faith, I doubt that a member would have been in it.

Because he talked shit about his character in Avengers (not that I blame him, he got shafted for the plot) and Marvel doesn't take nicely to that.

No, he's not. He'll be back at least for Avengers 2, although it was up in the air for a while (the article was linked on the last round of the livejournal anon meme, but I'm too lazy to go look for it.)

really? That's good :) I thought because he was on the outs with them for talking smack about Hawkeye that they'd dropped him.

I read that article (I'm sorry I don't know where it is). He said he was disappointed that the character wasn't what he signed up for as 90% of his screen time was under hypnosis, but he said it was okay because he was still in the movie, so he was happy. The remarks have definitely been made out to be more than they were.

yeah I read it too, but more recently I read that Marvel had dropped him. Probably on ONTD so who knows if that was just a rumour or what :P
