Or have HIM as the love interest. Like, his story mainly revolves around her, while the main plot is focused on her, and she has to save him and stuff, but he is still kinda badass and a good guy for her.

So I just had a vision of Hawkeye being kind of a male parallel to Pepper Potts, for the whole "Natasha decided to stop being bad and gets recruited to SHIELD" plot...>_>

No. Enough w/the love interest crap. I just want them as platonic bffs.

Also, Natasha has played in IM2 (lots of screen time), Avengers (lots of screen time), and she's playing in CA2 (lots of screen time? probably hell yes). Hawkeye has had very limited screen time in Avengers (add it up and it comes to approx 15 minutes) and Thor (what 2 minutes?). I want Hawkeye to have his own character and development independent of Natasha too, which he's not had in any film unlike Natasha. I don't blame Renner for being upset by Hawkeye's treatment.
