Well, if they go for comics-canon, she does have augmentations. She's not shooting laser bolts out of her eyes or anything, but she's definitely more-than-human in the comics, from what I understand. I'm kind of hoping they bring that into the movies a bit; right now it's ambiguous enough that they still could.

They've already referenced Red Room in that scene w/Hawkeye where he wakes up after being hit on the head by Natasha when she says she knows what it is like being unmade. It's why I get irritated when people call her non-super powered, regular human like Hawkeye. She's not and it's canon she's not in MCU. Hawkeye and Tony are the only regular humans in MCU. Tony has no special abilities--his power source in his chest doesn't grant him superpowers like the ability to teleport or something. It just stops metal fragments from reaching his heart.

The Red Room allusion could, in the MCU, simply be limited to the brainwashing and mundane training she endured; I hope they establish in movie canon that she was also augmented there, but they haven't committed to that yet.
