Go start one then.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-15 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't have to--we already have the general communities. Isn't that just awesome?

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
The gen communities used to be the places where SJW crap wasn't allowed. You only have them because you colonized them and drove everyone else out.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I've been in fandom for 15 years and people have been posting there social commentary in general comms for that entire time.

And I think it's great.

If you don't want to talk about social commentary then scroll past those posts.

Obviously, if someone's hijacking your post or making personal remarks about someone then that's a problem. Making they're own post in a community isn't.

You don't like it - keep scrolling.

This was never the case. However, if you want a comm that only allows positive comments, maybe you should start one. Most people can handle criticism of things they like, even if they may not engage in it.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Why don't you start a *squee* only comm instead?

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Tried, called them general forums where it was understood that you were positive about the show and didn't complain, but SJWs demanded they be turned into "reaction" forums so they were allowed to moan in them. SJWs cannot keep out of positive threads, because they need to make sure everyone knows they have a negative point.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Did you make it explicit that only positive stuff was allowed or did you just assume that everyone would read your mind and know?

Because "where it was understood" doesn't sound like it was an official rule - that sounds like an unstated agreement. Which of course not everyone is going to know about - because, you know, unstate.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
And of course if it is unstate then it can be loophole lawyered to allow anything.

That is the trouble the literalist nature of SJWs means they love loophole abuse.

Ban those who abuse loopholes. Moderators in LJ and DW communities can ban specific users and IPs, right?

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Then you should have called them "squee" forums instead of "general" forums, where people had the impression that they were free to discuss at will. Your inability to name things appropriately is no one's fault but your own.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Ah the problem with loophole lawyers, bring on the redneck trees. That's what you deserve.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not even sure what this comment is supposed to be.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
I think it is a reference to this webcomic: http://www.somethingpositive.net/sp01162003.shtml
