to be fair, most guys i've met who say that do seem to use it as a kind of self-defense against getting picked on by their male friends :'( poor them

most people i've met identify somewhat with their avatars in games, otherwise why else would there be such a ridiculously huge male backlash against the idea of video games with female main characters?

mmo's are not that different tbh and if someone is sexualizing princess peach in SSBB or lol mario-kart i don't know what to tell them

but that aside i agree, it's not inherently sexist

Are you kidding me. That's exactly the same reason why I play as hot male characters. Sexism isn't finding hot female characters attractive. It's requiring them to dress up in barely-there bikini armor while doing attack moves that involve excessive use of jiggle physics to find them attractive. Grow up.

My favorite part of Resident Evil 4 was getting to stare at Leon Kennedy's backside for the entire game. Especially going up and down ladders.

Yep. I specifically tailored my Skyrim character to be as attractive a dude as I could make him (and I did the same to my Oblivion character, only she was a female and holy crap, is it ever hard to make someone look good in Oblivion. It took me forever).
