Good for you. No, really, I'm glad you can enjoy it that way. Guess what? I can't. The more I'm forced to read (and, yes, I mean forced since I don't seek it out--when I expand comments it's there, when I'm scrolling my friends list it's there not behind a cut, etc., and I speed read so I've read it/most of it just by scrolling down), the more it sucks the fun out it for me. I'm unemployed, running out of money, don't qualify for unemployment I'm told by agency, and this is the only fun I can afford to have while I'm looking. So, fuck the SJW for sucking the fun out of it for me.

I'm sorry that this is ruining your enjoyment of fandom and that it sounds like you're having a really crappy time of it right now, but the fact that there are comments and posts that exist criticizing things isn't actually forcing you to read them. If you're just annoyed that they exist... well, welcome to fandom? People have different opinions here all the time and you can't exactly stop those from existing. Not everyone is going to be 100% all-squee all the time, and that's not just because of "SJWs." People have disliked things about a canon and have gone to fandom spaces to discuss that since fandom began. It's not a new development.

Right with you. On one Doctor Who lj community there are two posters who completely loathe the show, but like to dress their concern up as SJW "concern" and they both have really, intentionally, eye-catching avatars and like to litter their posts with pictures to ensure your eye is drawn to them. They are blatant hate posts, any announcement is met with an outpouring of hate about the show. It is got to the point where you can't even have a squee post because if you do they shit all over it, even if it is for squee. They make sure they catch the eye, they make sure their post titles are as hateful as possible, and and they are as prolific as possible.

It is now at the point where people are just giving up and leaving because two haters have managed to poison the well. That is why they need to use cuts or specific moan-forums, because it takes so few people to ruin the mood of a place.

... so the problem is that they are obnoxious.

Why are you grouping them with everyone else who just wants to discuss the positive and negative things in a fandom.

As you said, there's only two of them - way to generalize.

You are not being forced. You just read shit too fast without deciding if it's something you want to keep reading or not.

It's not like there aren't plenty of other options for people who like to squee over things - I see plenty of positive only posts all over the place.

Exercise discretion in your reading habits to avoid things you don't like. Don't put the blame other people posting about things they want to talk about.

Alternately: Move to Tumblr, at least temporarily. Make liberal use of the block/ignore button. Once someone makes a post that spoils your mood, you never have to see anything else from them ever again.
