I have nothing more to add, really, other than that the people in some of the anecdotes in this thread are making me absolutely livid with the depth of their ignorance and callousness - seriously, how can anyone believe that going to the ER with period complications is just a normal part of being a woman? In the OP's case, how can anyone believe that being too sick to hold a job is a normal part of being a woman? I mean. Holy crap.
