I too hate Christmas trees as weapons. So unwieldy.

Do you mean you hate how the higher in power you get the more intricate/shiny your weapons/armor are? Because it sort of makes sense.

I get where you're coming from, but it never really bothered me. I mean, if the game has you fighting dragons and shooting fireballs, then the weapons should be allowed to be fantastical as well.

It's seriously starting to bother me just how many people these days write "lose" as "loose." This isn't like affect/effect--they're relatively different words that are both in very common usage. (And why is it always one-way? I've never heard of anyone being cut lose.)

On-topic, what really bothers me isn't the tree itself, it's that it's attached to a knuckle duster. How do you punch with that thing?

I somewhat agree. I don't want my weapons to get flashier. I just want them to KILL THINGS HARDER. Exception allowed for energy weapons of some sort.

I'm the opposite. I love the extravagant swords. but sure, some of them can get really silly (lol @ christmas tree) and there's no way half of them can be practical in real life but it's better than looking at the same boring plain sword the entire game.

I'm sorry, all I can think about looking at that picture is that Frostmourne isn't a mid-level weapon and couldn't whoever made the original graphic have found something more apt?

When I get higher level I want my weapons to look good with deadly beauty, not an iron sword made by an apprentice smith that dragon breath can melt.

Daedric Christmas Trees, I'm totally with that. I might make this a real thing.

I automatically lose respect for a game if it follows this kind of style.

And things like this are why I'm forever glad for WoW's transmogrification feature. If I don't want my paladin's sword to look ridiculous, I can make it look like something nicer/simpler instead, and it's still plenty powerful!

I like different styles of things, and on the other hand, sometimes it's just stupid. Like my gun in WoW looks like a giant turquoise pelican/fish and that's stupid. And sometimes in Kingdom Hearts I wish I could just have the original Keyblade instead of having to use something that looks like spun glass and a kindergarten art project had a baby just to get decent stats.

Oddly enough I've never minded it, except when it comes to Kingdom Hearts. Keyblades, man, I can't even. Get that shit away from me.
