I think there was a thread like this yesterday, and I couldn't reply because I only saw it today and the thread was already dead.

So, for me it's Tavros. I indentify with him a lot.

Guy Gardner (not, however, 1980s sociopath Guy Gardner, funny as he is.) Rough upbringing, strained relationship with his father, very prickly but ultimately believes in doing the right thing.

it may be a little obvious though who i'd pick though...

Bilbo. I don't much like adventure or changes. But if a group of hot guys decided to take me on an adventure I would totally go (and complain 50% of the time). I also have big feet.

Ahahhaah oh my God when you put it that way, I, too, identify with Bilbo. And my feet are also monstrous for a girl of my size.

Hm, Bilbo. I've been struggling with depression for some time, and of all the things I've read on the subject, and all the people I've talked to, nothing ever came closer to describing how I feel than this:

“I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.”

Heh, when I watched The Hobbit with my Mum, we agreed that I WAS Bilbo at the start of the film - when the dwarves are piling into Bag End and he's mildly flailing and "WHAT DO D8" and is sneaking around the next morning to check that the coast is clear.

That aside, though, I'm more like Frodo - much more attached to the concept of home. Where Bilbo leaves of his own free will, develops a taste of adventure, and spends many of his years after his adventure travelling, Frodo has no choice in having to leave. There's a part of the book where he's sincerely wishing he was just moving to Crickhollow, settling in for a quiet life. I don't mind travel, but I very much want it planned out and with a guarantee of coming home at the end. I'd be lousy on an adventure.

The Doctor. Especially Nine and Ten.

It sounds pretentious, because people would assume that means I think I'm a genius or something. But what it actually means is that I'm intelligent but feel stupid a lot of the time, and I'm bad at people, and I travel a lot, and I have no fashion sense.

I've been told I'm a lot like Stiles from Teen Wolf. Like, a lot.

This may or may not be a good thing, but at least I'm funny?? lol.

Probably a really stereotypical sounding answer, but... I was not expecting, when I started watching Voyager, to see so much of myself in Seven of Nine.

I know that it's sort of a classic "coming of age" sort of character arc, but it was all about the specific details for me. The inability to leave analysis/production mode and do things without any real purpose. Preferring a routine and direct orders rather than emptiness to be filled with complete autonomy. Completely lacking social skills, failing to recognize common cues, and just saying what one means - and not understanding why EVERYONE doesn't do that. The pursuit of perfection. Trying to ignore emotions because how one feels about something doesn't change how it is. Even little things like having to readjust to the revolting process of ingesting nutrients through the digestive system, and being boggled at how people can actually ENJOY what is, to me, an unavoidable utility function that has to be done if I want to go on living (I hate eating, it's always grossed me out and if there was a viable alternative I would take it in a heartbeat).

Steffi from The Fosters. I mean, we're only two eps in but I can relate to what I've seen of her so far. Wanting to please everybody, being a bit too diplomatic when it comes to voicing an opinion, etc.

Kinda old but Kyou from Fruits Basket I guess. At least, first character to come to mind.

...Corvo Attano on a personal level? Like, if I had a choice in a job - hanging around in the background protecting my loved ones would be it.

Wes Mitchell from Common Law. We're 90% the same person, except he has a penis (presumably) and is a lot more confrontational than I am.

Usually the character no one likes. /emo, emo she knows but very true.

Different as they are, I feel myself resonating strongly with Kanaya Maryam (Homestuck) and even more strongly with Hal Emmerich (Metal Gear Solid). I don't know if this is a good thing.
