... That might actually be fascinating. I haven't actually seen much of the Mentalist, but from what I remember, Red John is prone to using other killers as catspaws against Jane, isn't he? Considering that's been Hannibal's own MO a lot too, it might be interesting to see them meet.

Either they'd become 'friends' and compare notes on screwing with their respective empath/psychic, or they'd get into a competition on who can most effectively screw with people in the most artistic ways, or they'd flip the hell out and try to kill each other for stepping on their personal/artistic turf.

oooh, a competition would be interesting! like maybe they think it's one serial killer, but the body count is ridiculously high and they keep trying to one-up each other in increasingly dramatic ways.
