wait a month. See if you still want it. Visit a tattoo parlor. Talk to people about their tattoos. Make an appointment (I guarantee you won't get a next-day one). If you still want it when your appointment comes around, then consider actually getting it. You have plenty of time to make up your mind before your ever see a needle.

Even though people say they're going to love a band forever, it rarely seems to actually be the case. I've seen so many people dumping a band that they declared their undying love for.

I want to get the glyphs tatto on my forearm like Shannon and Tomo, but I'm afraid I will grow out of them and later regret my tattoo.

If you ever stop caring about the music/musicians (and chances are, you will eventually), you might not regret it completely (since the tattoo seems sort of generic and not too attention grabbing), but you will curse your younger self for being so impulsive.

Somethings to consider before tattooing: is your weight stable and are you happy w/it? If you gain weight, tats will stretch (arms do get fat), if you want to lose, the tat will collapse (arms will shrink). Yes, even if you're male. I've seen a tat on an elderly male of a woman and her boobs are hanging down b/c of the hanging skin, it's not pretty at all.

If you're female, a concern is pregnancy--don't put it on the belly if you're planning to be pregnant at some point, it'll stretch out and look pretty damn bad, etc.

If these aren't concerns of yours, go for it. Be happy.

Don't get a tattoo on an impulse (save money so you can get a really good tattoo with a really good artist), don't get a tattoo of a fleeting fandom/favorite that hasn't been a favorite for a significant amount of time, and hasn't impacted your life in a significant way. And don't fucking get a tattoo when you're super-young.

I've learned these lessons through friends. A former friend got a tat that referenced her favorite band from when she was 13 to 19, and she got it on a special permission from her parents when she was 17. She started regretting it aged 21, lasered it off of her skin, and a year later started planning a new band-related tattoo because her music tastes went through a change. (I was facepalming, and this kind of shit made me understand I was really different from her.)

Personalizing a tattoo is a good idea, too, that way it'll be more special *to you* and make sure you won't start regretting it two weeks from getting it. It has to something that is significant to you not just years, but decades. I wouldn't discourage fannish tattoos but they really have to be considered; not just in what fandom the tat is referencing but the way that it's referencing it.

I saw a guy with this very tattoo at work today! (I work in a library btw.) I hadn't a clue what it was meant to be but it looked rather cool. Now I know its from band but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't seen this secret.
