My usual middleman for Yahoo Japan Auctions is mysteriously MIA, so I'm scrambling to find a quick replacement -- I want to bid on two auctions, both of which end in less than a day.

Most of the places I look seem to have long registration processes, with waiting for deposits to clear and so forth. There's not enough time for that, and since it'd just be for two auctions it also feels a bit unnecessary.

Sooo... Any recommendations, guys? Like I said, I'd much rather go with a plain middleman (i.e. an actual person) rather than a big company. But, as long as they are quick enough for this and have decent fees, I'll be grateful for any tips!

FromJapan's supposed to be pretty good, I think. I don't really wander into Yahoo Japan Auctions that much (I get most of my stuff from other sources), but I know people who use it. Not too sure about the fees, but I think it's fairly reliable. Not sure if there's a long registration process, though.

https://www.facebook.com/NoCountryForTallMenExports/ This is someone who may be able to help, as well. I've ordered stuff with his wife sometimes (they both do a lot of JPop stuff and are active in a Facebook group for that I go to), so this is legit.

Yeah, FromJapan seemed to be the best when I googled around -- but they do require a deposit, which I'm assuming isn't instant and/or needs to be verified. Still, the longer I hesitate the less chance there is of it being approved in time >:\

I don't actually have a Facebook account, eek. But from what I can see, I think I'd feel a bit embarassed asking them to bid on BL doujinshi *sheepish grin*

Ahh, yeah, I don't blame you. :) I don't think he'd care, but if you don't have a Facebook account that might be harder, too.

I normally just request on pkmncollectors for a middleman, so maybe this is a possibility if your item(s) have a english based collection community as well?
