That sounds like....Ultimate Woobie. Has the combined power of all the woobies who ever existed. Able to break your heart with one look. Makes fangirls sniffle once an episode. Inspires enough H/C fic to break fanfic.net.

And seriously, nobody helps the poor thing? So it'll only get worse before it better? I might have to add this to my 'to watch' list.

Fangirls(boys) are sadists. Didn't you know? Most of us love making our favorite characters cry for some reason.

I'm the same, though I do need the character to be happy at the end of things (in canon and fanfic both).

Hannibal/Willis appealing. NGL, I'd read a fic about it for sure. Especially if Will *snapped* and the two of them started killing together (OMFG WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME).


For the most part I ship Will/Beverly, though. :3 Unfortunately the rest of fandom doesn't seem to be of the same opinion. D:

He is the Ultimate Woobie. As in, retire the title, no one will ever match this high mark in Canon Woobie. Even the people who hate woobies and are always bitching about fans woobifying their favorite characters acknowledge that Will Graham is a total woobie, that's what and who he is.

It'll only get worse. Many people want to help him, but almost all of them are also sort of afraid of him, and don't know what would be helpful at all, or need things from him that preclude helping him. And the person who actually loves him is a serial killer stalker from hell. Seriously, retire the trophy, the competition is over.

eheheheheh Ultimate Woobie is dead-on accurate. Poor baby Will... I dunno if he's EVER going to get help, honestly. The people who "care" about him either 1) don't know what's wrong with him so they can't help; 2) need him for some purpose and are willing to put their needs before his; or 3) are ACTIVELY adding to his problems.

Hannigram is fuckin fantastic, though sadly as of yet there's a dearth of good fic. This one of the shows, though, like Breaking Bad or BSG, for which I feel no particular need to read fic because the canon is actually that satisfying.

I want to see a crossover with Perception. Daniel Pierce is always coming across mentally ill people who are being abused or exploited, and he would be all over this shit.

Oh LAWD this made me laugh. The poor guy only goes downhill from here. Even his happy moments are more "I'm only laughing to keep from crying hysterically" (which he also does at one point).

If you want to hug him from this picture alone, the show will tear your heart out in the best possible way.

Fuel for the fire:

I recently stumbled upon this (non-spoilery) gif set -- http://fuckyeshannibal.tumblr.com/post/52134081997/will-graham-one-scene-per-episode-buffet-froid -- and just sat there transfixed for a while. Dear god that face.

Gah, he's such a neat character! It's so unusual to see a lead male character on network tv with his emotional vulnerability. He's also really smart, really good at his job, and (when he's not delirious from sickness) very strong inside.

I love male characters who show emotional vulnerability! Honest, genuine emotion. I love it! I come from a hometown (and family) of alpha males and it is so refreshing when men can admit they feel something.

Incidentally, the character in my icon is great for that sort of thing. :D
