Depends on the face and shape of them. On someone like Brandon Routh or Lee Pace, it's nice. On Zachary Quinto, it's like two caterpillars having an argument with each other every time he scowls. (Though, strange enough, he looks nice if he's wearing glasses. Somehow, the thick frames of the glasses really balances the entire look out.)
