(Anonymous) 2013-06-18 04:39 am (UTC)(link)I really wish I knew! It comes out of the blue, too, which makes it even more frustrating. Then it's all suddenly "Ugh, I hate Dean" threads all over the place. I had to stop going to the SPN anonmeme after a Dean bashing thread came up and had nothing but people agreeing with the OP (this being the Dean hating one). And Dean gets either bashed in fic or is turned into this hulking super-seme who is alternatively protective over or a jerk to (so that he can be guilty about how much of a jerk he was) to woobie!Sam or woobie!Cas.
It feels like I only rarely come across people who still love Dean best and most of them aren't active authors or artists. :(
