ayrt

Both good points. So if there were a spin-off or a new evolution of the show that started with a female doctor, you'd be cool with that? Assuming, as others have said, they did the character justice.

I would totally watch a show with a female Time Lord!

As long as Moffat wasn't in charge of it.

Ayrt. Sure, I'd definitely like to see how they'd do that. Well, as long as the actresses playing the doctors would be chosen for their acting ability instead of appearing on Maxim, anyway.

I would definitely watch spinoff that starred a female Time Lord!

Oh gods, yes! Bring back Romana! I would watch the hell out of a series with her as the lead character.

As long as she's regenerated to keep the short and cute look, then yeah. She'd need a male companion though to do the heavy lifting and rescue her when she gets captured by the bad guy of the week, someone geeky that can do the technical stuff too (you could probably bring K-9 back for that, he would be good at doing the tech for her).

...Moffat? Is that you?

Or the Rani. I would totally watch a series/miniseries dealing with how the Rani survived the Time War.

... Or a miniseries involving the Rani fleeing to E-space during the War and finding Romana. And then they have E-space shenanigans and become the Doctor/Master pair of that universe, with the ethical but rebellious exiled president and the sociopathic and scientifically-inclined renegade working with/against/for each other across however many episodes you fancy. Romana can have the tragic angst of having abandoned her people in another universe, and of having the only person in that universe who understands that loss be the Rani. The Rani can try to backstab and/or kill Romana at first, to make sure that her last potential enemy from the old universe is gone, but become reluctantly attached because even the Rani wants a touch of familiarity and she's reluctantly fascinated with Romana's own scientific mind.

And then femmeslash. Obviously. Hey, Doctor/Master is all but canon by this point, the ladies can have some too.
