It freaks me out, too, but rationally I know they're probably not worse than any other fandom. It's just that Homestuck is the only one (out of the big ones) where I IRL know people who are into it, and the fandom experience has been really toxic for them, even if some of them don't want to admit it (yet).

What's weird is it's all been wonderful for me so far. I mean, I've heard of bad stuff happening (usually for drama reasons that aren't inherent to homestuck just so much as happening in a homestuck group) but thusfar It's all missed me.
