This scene is basically how they wrote out two of the main characters. (Mitchell is Aidan Turner, aka "Hot Dark-Haired Dwarf" in The Hobbit. I can never remember if he's Fili or Kili.)
There was one more season after the season this scene is from. It...wasn't very good. It was kind of whackadoo, really. Had some great guest stars, though.
