Re: Question for non-English/ ESL speakers....

Thus, them using them makes them look as if they did studied them, even if they learned them on television or in the streets. For example: where I live people would use words in quick conversation like "benchmarking", "forever alone", "queue", "know how", "posting", "branching", "cheese", etc. Almost all of them have a proper equivalent, and yet, people use them to look knowledgeable and cool.
