I laughed when I first heard about it, NGL. Still... I'd be a lot more impressed by it if I could believe that they were doing it for the right reasons, rather than an insincere attempt to appease potential buyers.

I'm pretty sure everyone reads it as X bone. I've never seen Microsoft refer to it as Xbone, always fully written out. XD

Good on them. But always-on Kinect still doesn't sit well with me, and the family-sharing thing actually sounded pretty neat.

I was leaning towards a PS4 anyway, but it's a step in the right direction for Microsoft. At least the competition is a biiiiiiit less one sided.

You can pause Kinect and apparently it's possible to decide what information you want shared with Microsoft but I get where you're coming from. It shouldn't be mandatory and it's still creepy.

I figured they would eventually do something like this and I'm with you: good on them. It might be more about sales than actual care for their consumers (which, yea, still makes them dicks), but at least they realize what a huge fucking mistake they made and are taking a step in the right direction.

I think it's about sales and also saving face from the last two pressers they had and E3.

But I'm fine with it. The better the competition between the big 3 (or at least MS and Sony), the more the consumer wins.
