ita is a bad lolita (itai = painful)... and yeah, they get really ridiculous reeeeeeally fast. I would know, I used to be embroiled in all that. And then one day I was like WHAT AM I DOING. I mean, I still love the clothes and wear them, but as for the "culture" side of it... no.

I've never thought that looking like a doll could come with such a toxic environment. Still, I can't help but openly laugh at most of those "secrets", confessions, whatever they are supposed to be.
Especially at the "omg plz stahp" shit.

yeah, it's kind of like being in a really small fandom where everyone knows everyone else... and then the fandom is based around your personal appearance. It gets catty really damn fast, and then when you exacerbate it with the anon nature of a secret meme it just goes overboard :P

sadly a lot of the drama isn't even funny, it's just bullying people for being overweight/not pretty/too tall/etc :(

Yes, wtf is ita? And I can't believe secrets are allowed that are basically just complete hate secrets of random people because ~their dress is to short~ or ~fuck you you aren't cute, fatty!!!~

Not to mention the multiples of the mocking disabled people. Good fucking lord I am glad I never did buy any lolita stuff when I was into the style a few years ago.

aww :( Not all lolitas are like that. Just like any other group, the crazies shout the loudest, but I met some of my best friends through lolita and they're all sane, happy, non-evil people :(

it's just that if you are into the fashion you need to be careful to avoid places like that, or grow a really thick skin.
