Just gonna give my two cents here: I did get all the mythology references except for a couple of minor ones, and I did enjoy AG a lot for it, but overall I was still pretty underwhelmed by it. I guess sometimes somebody's writing just isn't for you.

Adding my two cents to this here, because I enjoyed AG, but I also felt like the main plot really did suffer irrevocably from getting so sidetracked, and the ending was ultimately really lackluster to me.

The side stories were great and I loved all of the characters that came about, for the most part. But after a point, all of the stories and subplots packed into the main plot were eventually just a huge drain on the story structure, imo.

But hey, it practically writes its own weird variant of fanfic half the time. That's something.
