Did I say that I said anything to them about it? Whining about it or anything? No. I ignore it as best I can.

But the fact that there were so many issues from sexism to racism to horrible science to the fact that it really was more "generic space action movie" rather than "Star Trek" and my friends are Star Trek fans and didn't see any of the issues really because they were too busy squeeing over Spock, Kirk, and Bones? Yeah, I do have some problems with that. It's not just that they like something I don't like. I have seen that a lot. I don't care if people like problematic things as long as they recognize they are problematic. I just have issues when people don't see that there is anything problematic with the movie at all. Or at least claim they don't so they can get on with their squeeing over hot white guys. *shrug*
