Re: how do you prefer the transcriptions?

I appreciate the notes because often I don't know what the cute shippy name means or even what the fandom is or who the character are in the secret. I don't understand why someone who made the secret would object to me knowing what Hannigram means or who the character is in the secret they made because knowing those things is key to responding to the secret, right?

Thanks for doing these, BTW.

I figured at least someone would want to know things like those!

Like I told anon above, maybe putting clarifications in a different comment could work?

But if you don't know the fandom or the characters why would it matter if it's spelled out or not? If you don't know it you don't know it.

Playing devil's advocate, but not being familiar with a fandom or its jargon isn't quite the same as not knowing anything whatsoever about it, especially in a fannish melting pot like this. I didn't know what 'Hannigram' means without having to ask Google, either, but between F!S and Tumblr I'd managed to absorb that there's a new Hannibal series and that the protagonist is a dude named Will. There's different degrees of not knowing.

Sometimes people comment on the spirit of the secret or the idea in the secret translated into another fandom, and many times I use the secrets as recs for things I'd like to go out and watch/read. This is a great place to find a new fandom to participate in.
