Hmm, idk. It's up to you the way you do it, but that seems to be making things overly complicated and time consuming for you. There are obviously some people finding the way you're doing it now helpful so you could just keep the clarifications. It just bothers me personally but I might be the minority.

Oh, what if I replied to myself and added "Clarifications" to the subject line of the reply?

That would be make the actual transcription comment look less cluttered, and then people can skip the "clarifications" more easily if they'd like, and it wouldn't take me that much time anyway since most of the secrets don't really "need" explanations and replying logged in is way faster than marking myself as an anonymous for an individual comment or switching accounts.
