Are you just too young to have played FF8? It's not like a visual novel where the way you treat her actually affects the plot and the ending. I literally tried multiple times to let her die in horrible ways, never said a nice word to her, and at the end, it's still a fucking Disney movie out of nowhere. It was SO hamhanded and sloppy.

I wonder if Rinoa was less horrible in the original Japanese. I was shocked when I went through 7 in Japanese the first time and realized Cloud and Aeris used to have personalities...
