I wouldn't say I get quite as upset as you about it, but yeah, it annoys the fuck out of me too. I thought it was shadow at first, until he stepped into a well lit room and it was still there. Both me and my Mum commented on it looking stupid during the first episode.

This little bit of facial hair irritates the hell out of me, up to the point of making me irrationally angry. To me, it seriously looks like he hasn't wiped his mouth after eating and something is still stuck to his bottom lip - which is rather unfortunate considering which show this is. Whenever there's a scene with him, the only thing I can focus on is his infuriatingly stupid facial hair.
