My sister gave me some wine to drink once. It stank. I had to hold my nose to try and drink it (the taste wasn't too bad actually).

I once mixed up a wine glass of sparkling grape juice with port at a party...fortunately neither of them had been adulterated with anything (this was years ago I don't let go of my drink now) and I took a hearty swig...only to have the skin on the ENTIRE roof of my mouth shrivel up and peel off. Family members thought it was the most hilarious thing they had ever seen. I was unamused.
