My spawn's 15 (I'm 42, for the record.) I'm not inclined to gush, but I think she's turned out pretty okay so far. Healthy, affectionate, not very materialistic, not too rebellious (or too worrisomely obedient,) intelligent with acceptable grades, not too uptight about her looks or weight (she's quite pretty IMO,) reasonably socially conscious, computer literate, has some nice kids as friends, and generally seems to have her head on more or less straight.

She's also a big fangirl, and she and I squee together over nifty Tumblr finds all the time. XD

As for the tropes, my husband and I sort of take elements of many of them a la carte? But we don't fit any of them exactly.
