Also, not!Secret 2? I totally agree on the "underrated character development arcs" point. It's not even because of the assumption that nothing "good" or "deep" or "emotional" happens in American comics (although it is that as well), it's mostly because all the really GOOD character development happens outside of A-list characters. It's only the characters who aren't recognized by the general public, or the legacy heroes, or the obscure characters (or, in the case of your favorite, the, uh, displaced Liefeld creations) who get the most fantastic character arcs.
