Not a BNF or anything, but this hit a chord - I occasionally get really thoughtful and wonderful comments on my art from relative strangers. It's usually prefaced by "oh god I hope this doesn't sound creepy..."

The truth?
It's not creepy at all. Every time I read things like this, I'm so touched that a total stranger took the time to write something like that that I cry a little bit. (I AM A GIANT DORK)

I never really know how to adequately respond without sounding like a moron. Sometimes, if I'm having a really shitty week, I let the comment sit at the top of my Unread pile just so it's the first thing I see when I check mail, because it really does feel nice.

But thanks for showing the other side - I'm off to do some responding now :3

And speaking of art... I googled "P.L. Nunn" but I'd never seen the artwork before (really nice, though!)

But I'm nearly positive I've seen that name somewhere... even though I'm not in any of the same fandoms. Am I confusing it with some other author, or does she have books published? It sounds so damn familiar.

She's some major fanart person. She's published, like, fanbooks. I don't know.

Nowadays she's mostly noted for being so well known and yet possessed of very little technical artistic skill.
